Tradition Meets Technology
The multi-touch table experience features RFID-enabled cards for engaging interaction. Each marae in Ngā Rauru’s Whanganui region is represented by a uniquely patterned card. When placed on the table, these cards trigger information about the marae, including its location, traditional waiata (poems), and a 360° virtual tour.
This combination of tactile interaction and digital technology creates an intuitive way for users to connect with the cultural essence of each marae, allowing for active discovery and engagement with these significant sites.
